Pamela Vossenas is the Program Director of the Good Food Jobs program at the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute. She has over twenty-five years of experience in the field of occupational health working with unions, public health organizations and academia, domestically and internationally. As former Director of Worker Health and Safety for UNITE HERE International Union, Vossenas led research, training, policy and organizing efforts for 300,000 union members employed in the hotel, casino and food service industries in North America. Her experience includes working in coalition with unions, worker advocates, and public health professionals to win in 2018 the Cal/OSHA 3345 Hotel Housekeeping Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention standard. Vossenas teaches a course on worker health and safety to graduate students as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies.
