Bio
Liv Collins is a digital content specialist and communications assistant at the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute, where she supports research translation, public engagement, and digital strategy across a range of food policy initiatives. With two years of experience developing impactful digital campaigns and fostering strategic communications, she joined fellow CUNY researchers and the Brotherhood Sister Sol as a research assistant for the NYC 1K Composting Systems Initiative under the NYC Climate Justice Hub. In this role, she played a key coordination and field research support function, contributing to site visits, stakeholder interviews with community members, composters, gardeners, and youth, and systematic data collection efforts. She also supported qualitative narrative documentation and content development for the initiative’s online map tool and public-facing website, helping translate community-based composting practices into accessible, data-informed storytelling and visualization.
