The UIC School of Public Health is pleased to host Distinguished Lecturer Dr. Nicholas Freudenberg, Distinguished Professor of Public Health at City University of New York School of Public Health and Director of the CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute. Dr. Freudenberg will be speaking about the effects of corporate practices on health (aka commercial determinants of health) as addressed in his recent book, At What Cost: Modern Capitalism and the Future of Health.

How to Join the Lecture:

  • Virtual: The lecture will be available to all registered guests in a virtual format. A link to view the lecture online will be sent to each registrant’s email prior to the event.
  • In-person (UIC students/ faculty/ staff only): A limited number of in-person seats will be available to UIC faculty, students, and staff only. Please indicate during registration if you are interested in attending the lecture in person, and you will receive an invitation to reserve a seat closer to the event date. The invitation will only be sent to UIC email addresses.
