Earle C. Chambers, Ph.D., M.P.H., is a Professor in the Department of Family and Social Medicine, Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology & Population Health (Health Behavior Research & Implementation Science), Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and the Director of the Department of Family and Social Medicine Research Division at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His areas of research explore the intersection of social epidemiology and social medicine: how social determinants of health within the context of the physical environment can influence health behaviors and health outcomes in patients and populations. His professional interests and active research projects include affordable housing and health outcomes, residential mobility and healthcare utilization, and evaluating the reach of the Diabetes Prevention Program.*
