In addition, Eman also served as the Project Director for the Washington Heights & Inwood (WHIN) Food Council, a grassroots volunteer-led food justice initiative based in upper Manhattan, between 2019-2023. In her role, she managed volunteers and oversaw all day-to-day activities to support food security and gardening programs, fundraising, and community engagement.
As the current Director of Advocacy at the Institute, Eman connects with and engages CUNY students in advocacy activities to improve the school's campus food environment and also prepare them for a career related to food justice.
